These terms are between you and Alauddin. By using Alauddin, you agree to them.
Alauddin is run by an individual, not a named company. No company name is published on this page. Write to contact@alauddin.app.
Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Alauddin.
Peaceful use
You agree to use the app lawfully and peacefully.
Do not post or share content that is illegal, threatens or promotes violence, harasses people, or spreads hate. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
Your choices
You are responsible for your own words, meetings, and decisions. If you meet someone in person, you accept the risks of that meeting.
The app as it is
Alauddin is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be free of mistakes, or that it will always be available.
We do not guarantee a person’s identity, intentions, or how anything will turn out. We do not run criminal background checks.
If something goes wrong
To the extent the law allows, Alauddin is not responsible for indirect losses. If we are responsible for a direct loss, the most we would owe is what you paid Alauddin in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD if you paid nothing. This does not limit rights the law says we cannot limit.
If your use of Alauddin, or a meeting you choose, leads to a claim against Alauddin, you agree to cover that loss, to the extent the law allows.
Reflection, not a ruling
The app shows Quran text, duas, and a simple prayer outline, with sources. It does not give religious rulings. The words here are for reflection. For a personal question, ask a teacher you trust.
The journal and the quotes are not counseling, medical care, or a crisis service.
Prayer times and the qibla
Prayer times are calculated on your device for an area you choose, or for a location you ask for with a tap. Your local mosque's timetable may differ slightly. The app does not call one calculation the correct one. You can choose another in Settings.
The qibla is the great-circle direction to the Kaaba. The compass uses your phone's sensors and the World Magnetic Model to aim toward true north. Phones, magnets, cases, and nearby metal can move that reading. A lock mark means the heading is close to the qibla on that device. It is a guide. If you're unsure, check with your local mosque.
Alauddin uses your location on your device to find the qibla direction and your prayer times. It's never sent to our servers or shared. Unless you turn on Remember my area, it is not stored. If you turn that on, the device keeps an approximate area only: a city name, or coordinates rounded to a tenth of a degree. That area stays on the device, is not synced, and you can delete it.
Alauddin Plus
Plus is optional. It is not open for new payments until we turn it on. When it is open, a month is 7.99 US dollars and a year is 59 US dollars, each with a 7-day trial, and that plan renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel online from Settings or the receipt. Pay once. Lifetime means Plus stays on for this account with no renewal and no further charge, until Alauddin stops offering Plus. It is not a promise that the app will exist forever. If we stop offering Plus, we'll tell you at least 90 days before. Read the refunds page for how cancellation and refunds work.
Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction.
Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court in your home county (or the local equivalent) if it qualifies.
If you live in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing here removes those rights.
Disputes and changes
If something is wrong, write to us first at contact@alauddin.app. We hope to sort it out there.
If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If we make a material change, we'll post the new version here with its date and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect, unless the law or someone's safety requires a change sooner. We may also suspend or close access if these terms are broken, or to protect someone.
